Evergreen Learning Pod is led by Brandy Phares, an experienced educator with over 15 years in the classroom. She has taught in diverse settings across the country, including an International Baccalaureate (IB) school known for its inquiry-based approach to global awareness and critical thinking.

Brandy holds a master’s degree in education with a focus on dyslexia and is trained in trauma-informed practices. She has led professional development for teachers in math, reading, and social-emotional learning, and has worked with students from a wide range of backgrounds including multilingual learners, Alaska Native youth, and children from foster and transitional housing systems.

Her approach blends structure and creativity, helping students build strong academic foundations while growing in confidence, independence, and curiosity.
